Xu Huibin, born on July 6, 1959 in Da'an City, Baicheng City, Jilin Province, originally from Wu'an City, Handan City, Hebei Province, is an expert in metal materials. He served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (Vice Minister). Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

In 1982, Xu Huibin graduated from the Mechanical Department of Fuxin Institute of Mining and Technology, majoring in metal materials. In 1987, he received a master's degree from Krausatar University of Technology in Germany. In 1992, he received a doctor's degree from Berlin University of Technology and later worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Munich University of Technology. In September 1993, he served as head of the Department of Materials and Dean of the School of Materials of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Astronautics, he was appointed executive vice president of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; in December 2011, he was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; in March 2015, he was appointed president of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; in September 2017, he was appointed president and deputy secretary of the party committee of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Xu Huibin has long been engaged in the scientific research, engineering application and personnel training of advanced aero-engine high temperature materials and special functional materials.

Zhou Ji, born on February 10, 1962 in Jiutai County, Jilin Province, is an expert in inorganic non-metallic materials, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University, and an academic committee of the State key Laboratory of New Ceramics and Fine Technology Director.

After graduating from Jilin University in 1983, Zhou Ji was admitted to the Changchun Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; after graduating from his master's degree in 1986, he stayed in the institute and worked as a research intern and assistant researcher successively; in 1988, he was admitted to the Department of Chemistry of Peking University; in 1991, he graduated from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University for postdoctoral research. After leaving the post-doctoral station in 1993, he stayed to teach and successively served as assistant researcher, associate professor of Tsinghua University; in 1997, he served as the deputy director of the Department of Materials of Tsinghua University; in 2004, he was funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars; in 2007, he was hired as a distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education; in 2017, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Zhou Ji has long been engaged in the research of information functional materials and components. Research interests include: integration of metamaterials and regular materials, information functional ceramic materials and components, etc.

Huang Xiaoxu, professor, male, born in 1963, native of Henan, was the dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Chongqing University, and is now a second-level professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Chongqing University.

On October 29, 2013, he was employed as a visiting professor of Yanshan University. President Liu Hongmin and Professor Huang Xiaoxu discussed the future development direction and personnel training of the National Cold Rolling Strip Equipment and Process Engineering Technology Center of Yanshan University. The two sides plan to jointly carry out scientific research. In August 2023, he was elected as an effective candidate for the co-election of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2023.
