Suzhou Laboratory Hosts the Event: "Uniting Hearts and Shouldering Missions, Setting Sail on a New Journey"2025 New Year "Family Carnival" Celebration

On the afternoon of January 24, the laboratory hosted the "Uniting Hearts and Shouldering Missions, Setting Sail on a New Journey" 2025 New Year "Family Carnival" celebration. Nearly 400 people gathered to welcome the New Year, including Deputy Directors Jiang Chengbao and Jing Zhenqiang, Assistant Directors Sun Baode and Wu Qiuyun, staff members from various departments, and representatives of their families.

The New Year "Family Carnival" featured multiple segments, including New Year greetings, Spring Blessings, intangible cultural heritage interactions, and culinary workshops. During the New Year greetings segment, the leadership team distributed festive gifts and heartfelt blessings to frontline researchers, encouraging everyone to embrace the new year with renewed passion and vigor, striving to reach new scientific heights and contribute even more to the laboratory’s high-quality development.

Following the greetings, the leadership team joined employees in enjoying performances of traditional lion dances, Suzhou storytelling (Pingtan), and Kunqu Opera. They also participated in drawing lots for New Year prizes, creating a lively and festive atmosphere that steadily built up throughout the event.

At the event site, employees and their families also engaged in traditional cultural activities such as making "Five Blessings" dumplings, printing New Year woodblock paintings, writing Spring Festival couplets and blessing characters, and crafting festive flower buckets. They enthusiastically participated in traditional folk games including pitch-pot, ring toss, cuju (ancient Chinese football), and lantern riddles.

The 2025 New Year "Family Carnival" further strengthened the laboratory’s sense of cohesion and belonging. In the new year, all laboratory staff will continue to carry forward the spirit of unity and perseverance, actively promote scientific innovation, and contribute to the laboratory’s high-quality development as it enters a new stage and embarks on a new journey.
